Lenior Special Batch: RELEASE EVENT

Once upon a time………. …….our Master Brewer (or “Chief Wisdom Officer”, as we prefer to call him) took a batch of Lenoir Belgian Ale but, instead of putting it into cans, he added “sugar, spice & all things nice” and gave it a second fermentation……….and then he hid it………..in wine barrels………until in become of age. After one whole summer of searching the “Knights in Stainless Steel” at Bell City Brewing found it! Please come and join us on Thursday October 29th from 6pm, as we release this limited edition beer;¬†at 9.5%abv, this barrel-aged Belgian is very special...

Lenoir Belgian Ale

Only available in our Retail Store our Lenoir Belgian Ale is a 6.5% traditional golden Belgian ale. Very clean and fragrant Belgian ale, all the fruity spicy character comes from the yeast. We use a lot of Belgian Candi Sugar as our added touch. Come on by and get...

Why we are focused

At this point you might wonder why we haven’t tried all sorts of styles and recipes. It’s not that we aren’t creative or our recipe book isn’t diverse enough. We started with our fantastic Eureka Cream Ale and it will be in the LCBO early June. We have been to plenty of festivals and people ask, “what do you have”. We say… We have our Eureka Cream Ale and it’s good. We don’t have 5 or 10 styles. We are really okay with that. Most people at these festivals keep coming back and say this is the “best beer here”… or “I can’t drink that other one”. We like hearing that but we can’t even say ourselves what one beer is our favourite. There are so many styles and flavours to try. We have a good beer and people like drinking it. A lot of people haven’t tried it yet. So after one year we have our second in the works. We expect it to be another hit! Someday soon we might consider launching a new style every week, but for now we will focus on great beer one brew at a time and make sure each one is...

Grandelicious 2014

Last week we were glad to be back at Grandelicious 2014… seeing that this is our home town! Lots of great local support. Thanks to the organizers Jamie and Trevor! Once again we had great feedback on our flag ship beer Eureka Cream Ale. We told everyone our second beer will be coming very soon but we don’t want to let the secret out yet. Stay tuned! The Great People at Bell City...

Festivals and more festivals!

Two blogs in one day! We just had a busy weekend. 3 festivals in all. Caledonia, Niagara Real Canadian Craft Beer Festival and Good Food and Wine Festival in Toronto! The RCCBF had its first year and was a huge success. We plan to do as many festivals as we can, but only the ones which make sense for us. Please let us know if you know of a festival we should be at!...

To blog or not to blog!

Okay so we suck at blogging. In order of priority, we make and sell beer! We love doing beer festivals because we meet like minded individuals. As far as social media goes, Twitter is first, Facebook, then blogging. So I apologize to people who visit our web-site and feel it’s a bit dated :(. Also, our customer list is not up to date. So if you want to know where we are, follow and message us on Twitter....

Summer Events 2015

Stay tuned for a listing of upcoming summer events! We will be all around southern Ontario at Craft Beer festivals and other events near you. Stay tuned for a full list of events or follow our Twitter or Facebook pages for up to the minute info!

Long Weekend Update

Ok I admit we are not the best bloggers. It’s been a while since our last post. With all the social media options out there, and all the ones we are using, blogging is always last on the list. Sitting on a patio with a cold one, tunes blaring in the back ground, seems like a good time. So, what have we done so far? Being selective about the craft beer festivals this summer is a matter of necessity rather than something that we want to do. We just don’t have enough people or beer to go around. We just finished Taste or Glenhyrst in Brantford, our home town, which makes sense. We had an overwhelming response. Some people knew about us and came to have another taste of our beer, and some people were surprised to learn about Brantford’s first and only craft brewery. The most common question… Where are you guys? When are you opening? The answer… We are making and selling beer now, finally! We are focusing on kegging beer right now. You can find us on taps around town and the list is growing! We are moving as quickly as possible to have some beer to buy in the LCBO. Why not the beer store you ask? Well, the beer store is owned by Molson and Labatt. The government forces them to allow small independent brewers in there. Why this system still exists in 2013 is beyond me. Just to stick it to us, they make it hard and expensive to be there. Personally I find the buying experience like something from Cold War novels....

Taste of Glenhyrst

Thanks to everyone for coming by to taste our Eureka Cream Ale. A lot of people in Brantford were surprised to find out Brantford had a Craft Brewery. That’s why we do these events! We just don’t have the advertising dollars to make a big splash! Most marketers agree that word of mouth advertising is much better anyway. Our beer got fantastic reviews! I love hearing from people that they are coming back for more of our beer after tasting everyone else’s....
